CLINICAL UTILITY – the ALL FISH profile detects cytogenetic abnormalities commonly associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Identification of specific abnormalities defines various subtypes of ALL that have different prognosis and responsiveness to specific therapies
METHODOLOGY – fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) or next generation sequencing (NGS)

COLLECT – not-diluted bone marrow aspirate or whole blood in sodium heparin
SPECIMEN PREPARATION – transfer 3-4ml bone marrow or peripheral blood in heparin vacutainers
STORAGE/TRANSPORT TEMPERATURE – 2-8 degrees C (with cold pack)
STABILITY – ambient: 48 hours, refrigerated: 48 hours
UNACCEPTABLE CONDITIONS – clotted specimens
